tas-it, the Tasmanian Computers in Schools email-based list community, was set up to encourage and facilitate general discussion about computers and Information Technology in Tasmanian schools. 

It had a long life from the 1990s until December 2020 when Yahoo Groups (the host technology) closed down. 

TASITE acknowledges the dedicated and sustained management and leadership of tas-it by Dr Ken Price, over many years. 

The TASITE committee decided not to replace the email-based platform but rather to promote community through our social media on Facebook and Twitter.
